Educator of the Year Awards
Each year, the members of the IDEA Executive Board approve the winners of two awards that are designed to recognize the outstanding efforts of IDEA members. Members have a chance to nominate deserving colleagues for one of two Technology Educator of the Year awards.
There are two categories for the annual Educator of the Year awards:
IDEA Mini-Grant Program
IDEA is pleased to offer a mini-grant program available to all IDEA members across Illinois. Are you looking for a way to make your school or classroom Maker Space a reality, seeking a few more devices to facilitate an engaging and exciting classroom project, or wanting to try a cutting-edge innovation that is so new you missed your school's budget cycle? Apply for an IDEA mini-grant! Opens each year in August.
IDEA Scholarship Program

Making IT Happen Awards
Illinois Digital Educators Alliance is an affiliate of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), and as such, IDEA members are eligible to receive the prestigious Making IT Happen awards which ISTE announces each year. Deserving members are nominated and approved by the members of the IDEA Executive Board and the names are then submitted to ISTE for consideration. If you believe that a colleague is deserving of this award, please contact the IDEA Office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
