IDEA has partnered with IETL to offer a three-part series event presented by Greg Reichelt! This 30 minute, 3 day series will help teachers understand the Student Online Personal Protection Act (SOPPA) and how this new legislation could potentially impact their classrooms. Day 1 (April 21) will focus on the different legislative aspects of SOPPA and why this new law is important. Day 2 (April 28) and day 3 (May 5) will cover how SOPPA will impact teachers and students in the classroom and how teaching in Illinois will change. During day 3 time for specific questions will also be given.

Illinois educators can earn a 1/2 hour of Professional Development for each of the 3 sessions attended live. A link to the PDH forms will be shared in the chat at the end of the live webinars.
