Social Media Internship
The Illinois Digital Educators Alliance (IDEAIllinois) seeks a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Intern to support our communications, member engagement, and digital storytelling.
IDEAIllinois is a statewide nonprofit organization that inspires, connects, and provides the educational community with opportunities that transform teaching and learning through technology. The Social Media Intern will help share the work, ideas, events, and accomplishments of Illinois educators while strengthening IDEA’s year-round digital presence.
The intern will create engaging content for platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, and LinkedIn, Newsletter, Podcast and more. This is an opportunity to gain practical communications experience, build a professional portfolio, and become involved with a community of educators, technology leaders, presenters, partners, and volunteers.
Community and Conference Operations Internship
The Illinois Digital Educators Alliance (IDEAIllinois) seeks an organized, dependable, and enthusiastic Conference Operations Intern to support the Conference Coordinator and Chief Operating Officer with the preparation and delivery of IDEA conferences, events, and professional-learning experiences.
This is an entry-level learning position designed for someone interested in event planning, hospitality, nonprofit operations, business, communications, or education. The intern will assist with defined conference tasks while receiving direction and supervision from IDEA staff.
This is an internship—not a Conference Coordinator position. The intern will not be independently responsible for planning, managing, or overseeing the conference. Instead, the intern will gain practical experience by supporting the professionals responsible for those functions.
Gift of Giving Back - Volunteering
IDEA Community Volunteer
We volunteer to make a difference for others, but often discover that the experience changes us, too. By sharing our time and talents, we build relationships, develop new skills, find renewed purpose, and become more deeply connected to our community. Sometimes, we receive even more than we give.
