Meet Carrie!

Carrie has worked in special education for 19 years and am passionate about helping teachers love their jobs and thrive in their roles. As a lifelong educator, Carrie believes that when teachers feel supported and inspired, students benefit the most. She currently teaches middle school special education at Dunlap Middle School.

Outside of work, Carrie is a proud parent of three amazing kids (Elliott 17; Penelope 13; Isaac 6) and three equally lovable pugs. Her husband, Jimmy, is a teacher and coach at Peoria Heights High School. They love doing all the things as a family—whether it’s attending games and cheering from the sidelines, playing board games or just enjoying time together.
