Christina Ordonez has served Hoffman Estates High School since 2002 and is currently its Technology and Media Department Chair.
She leads professional learning, mentors new educators, supports the performing arts, and has trained more than 800 educators to use AI effectively and ethically.
With three master’s degrees and experience presenting at all levels, Christina is passionate about removing barriers and expanding learning opportunities for students and educators.

Membership is Free
The Teaching in the Age of AI Spotlight Community brings Illinois educators together to thoughtfully explore how artificial intelligence is changing teaching, learning, assessment, creativity, and our understanding of knowledge. Members will examine practical classroom applications, emerging opportunities, ethical challenges, and the moments when AI strengthens learning—and when a traditional approach serves learners better.
Through community, professional learning, IDEAcon, and shared resources, educators across subjects, grade levels, and career stages will connect, grow, share, and inspire one another. Together, we will move beyond individual tools to make informed, human-centered decisions that support meaningful learning and prepare educators and students to participate confidently and responsibly in an AI-shaped world.
